Innovative Traffic Service pays attention to every detail of a shipment from loading to delivery. Communication is the key to our success. I. T. S. is in constant communication, our phones are answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We stay informed as well as keep our customers and carriers informed. We know when a shipment will load, where the shipment is in transit, and when it will deliver. We utilize state of the art custom designed database software for every aspect of our operation such as order entry and processing, shipment tracking, and numerous quality control functions. This software allows us easy access to any customer, carrier, or shipment information, directions to any shipper or consignee, and to closely monitor the performance of our contracted carriers. Our operations personnel acquire and database directions to all of our shipper’s locations, to our shipper’s customers, and to job sites. We personally direct and instruct drivers to each point of loading and delivery assuring that vital information pertaining to each shipment is passed directly from our customer to the driver. Our dispatcher verifies with the driver that the proper trailer and equipment is in place and that the driver has enough log hours to legally perform the task at hand. A mandatory morning check call (by 9:00am Central) to our toll free number is required from every driver each day that a shipment is in transit allowing us to track shipments, identify and prevent potential problems or delays, and accurately coordinate with shippers and consignees. It is standard practice at Innovative Traffic Service that twenty-four hour prior notice to delivery is given to the receiver of any long haul shipment eliminating unnecessary scheduling difficulties. We also place a call to consignees of local or regional short haul shipments at the time the truck is loaded and ready to leave the pick up location. This practice saves waiting and downtime for both our customers and our carriers. The vast majority of our carrier base has been contracted with us for many years because they have a history of professional service and on time delivery. Any carrier that we assign to your freight is bound to us by contract, and besides having valid operating authority and proper insurance coverage, must also keep current proof of favorable DOT safety audit report on file with us at all times. The terms of our contract specifies that our carriers maintain a minimum of $1,000,000.00 of liability and $100,000.00 of cargo insurance coverage and must keep proof of coverage current and on file with our company. The insurance coverage of each carrier is verified for every shipment that we handle before a truck is dispatched for a load. |
